CHOOSING MODULES
An energy rating standard could tell us which module is the best.
GERARDO CAPILUPO
In a global market where development of new PV technologies and an increasing number of new players are widening the kind of products available, users don’t have an easy task choosing between all the types of modules. It is getting more difficult to say which module will have a better energy yield over a long period.
IEC 61853, the standard for energy rating of terrestrial PV modules, is still in progress. Why is it needed so much? How are other standards actually working?
